Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is the aesthetic nasal operation. The ideal nose adapts itself harmoniously and unobtrusively to the proportions of the face, because it also has a central position in the face. A too big or shapeless nose shows the eye-catcher of her owners and can lead to a nasal complex. The nose consists of complicated anatomical elements, any can be the seat of a distortion, an unaesthetic or functional old ration and form the object of a surgery intervention: Bones, cartilages, skin, nose septum, nasal mucous membrane. The surgery technics guarantees the adaptation of the narrow reef for every isolated case (without visible scar). The planning of a correction must take into consideration the whole harmony of the face and the personal images of the patient should be also incorporated.

The patient may suffer at the time of the operations of no acute breath way infection! Violent could sniff itself fatally on the operation and on the healing course knead.

Investigation

Check allergic, traumatic and prehistory asthmatic above all.
Physical check of the nose and in particular the quality of the nasal skin, the permeability of the nostrils, the nose septums, the nasal cartilages, study of the mobility of the nose during the speech and the smile.

Surgery

By a fine, not visible cut guidance in the inside of the nasal entrance the cartilage and bone scaffolding of the nose can be shown. By specific, before in the photo and in the X-ray picture discussed removal or addition of cartilage and/or bone form and size can be influenced in the desired way. The simple nasal points correction is uncomplicated. Already with the hump flattening additional interventions in the bone become often necessary.
The intervention is carried out in general anaesthetic and usually outpatiently. After the operation the nose mostly becomes from the inside tampon and by an external dressing (gypsum or plastic) in her new shape taked in splint (approx. 10 days).

Postoperativ recommendations

- Prohibition of smoking
- Do not try to remove, the splint or the dressing!
- No nasal bubbles, it no too high pressure may originate in the nasal cavity
- Leave the small crusts
- Do not lie with the head down, but alsoon two upholsterers
- Take no aspirin two weeks before and three weeks after the intervention.
- Make to yourselves no worries with an unimportant respiratory difficulty, odour change, difficulty with smile and nasal point pains for a short time
- Drive no immense sport

- 2 months of solar suspension avoid after the operation the face can swell. Under the eyes appear blue spots which disappear, however, after 7-8 days (has passed away with every patient). Turn immediately to Swissdent Medical Center if you need something or are worried! The social activity is already possible 5 days after the operation.
